Our Dance Styles

Repertoire
Contemporary dance embraces different styles and genres and is very popular with dancers and audiences alike. This style of dance can be abstract, structured or unconventional

Lyrical Dance
Lyrical dance is a combination of ballet technique, jazz and modern dance. The style uses music and lyrics to inspire the movements of the dancer and allows the dance to embody ballet techniques with the freedom of jazz.

Musical Theatre
Dancers in musical theatre will have the opportunity to sing, dance and act all the same time! Often known as “the triple threat”, this style teaches dancers how to blend their dance performances with storytelling and vocals to create various emotions.

Tap Dance
Tap-dancing is a percussive style of dance. Metal plates are attached to the heel and toe of the shoe, and the feet are tapped against the floor to the sound and feel of the music.

Hip Hop Dance
Hip hop dance is a vibrant form of dance that combines freestyle movements and contemporary music to express and create a cultural piece of art and expression.

Jazz Dance
Jazz is a fun, fast-moving style of dance that incorporates body isolations, works with current music and encourages individual expression.

Classical Ballet
This dance style is the foundation of all genres. Body alignment, grace, strength, flexibility, coordination, and discipline are some of the many skills that are developed through the study of classical dance.
Our Events
